General coronavirus information
As we move forward, the coronavirus situation across the United Kingdom is regularly changing. This means that the way we operate often changes due to the current government advice and the advice from Avon Cosmetics. However, the information within this post is how we are working and moving forward. From our plans as a business to the changes made by Avon Cosmetics across teams and representatives.
The main change has been in relation to selling Avon. With the government only allowing people outside as essential exercise or shop visits, selling Avon across the doorstep is often a bit more difficult than it was before. A lot of our representatives are delivering orders as normal and apart from maybe giving your orders to Avon Representatives over the phone or online, you should see no change in how they are operating. However, some of our Representatives that are perhaps more risk that others due to previous health or the Representatives that are taking more precautions have changed the way they operate all together. If so, you representative will have informed you of these changes.
In regards to Avon as a business, they have worked to create plans and initiatives to help those effected, Avon have done the following:
- Avon is supporting some of the most vulnerable people across the United Kingdom with a financial donation for women and children in refuges and well-being products products for NHS staff.
- 1.6 million women experienced domestic abuse last year and self isolation has the potential to aggravate pre-existing abusive behaviours by perpetrators – Avon is helping to keep front line services open.
- Avon remains open and product production lines are being re-purposed to manufacture the most in demand beauty products including a moisturising hand gel.
With some of our representatives being Avon Sales Leaders, changes to how they are working to recruit new people to their teams has changed too. However these changes have been positive ones that are allowing us to grow our team even easier with the current situation. It also allows us to offer even more opportunity to those who want to join Avon and earn some extra money.
Digital Avon Representatives
With the current Coronavirus Situation, Avon has worked to change the way we recruit. As many people know, when joining Avon, you have to purchase a Starter Kit, this usually contains tools to use to sell Avon such as the current brochure and order forms. However, Avon is allowing Sales Leaders to recruit Digital Avon Representatives. These are Representatives that are set up to only sell online through their Online Store and through the Online Brochure. The bonus to this is that you don’t require the sales tools such as Brochures & Order Forms, therefore you don’t have to pay for a starter kit, joining Avon is free!
Alongside recruiting, there is also some changes to the way Avon is being sold too. This is dependent across Representatives, however your representative will inform you otherwise. Some of these changes include the way orders are taken and the way orders are delivered too.
The main change is how the majority of deliveries have become Contactless. This means that our representatives may choose to follow our Contactless Delivery Strategy.
Above is how our representatives may delivery your products. While some customers may rather have their order delivered as normal, our more vulnerable customers may prefer to have their delivery done Contactless and this can be done by just asking your representative to delivery contactless!
Taking orders online or over the phone
Alongside a change in delivery, there may also be changes to the way orders are taken by representatives. While often, representatives take your order by collecting your brochure, some representatives are taking orders over the phone or through Social Media such as Facebook. This allows your representative to place your order without having to pick up the order form or brochure, meaning a much lower risk.
